A Jewelry Invitational Featuring: Jennifer Graves

color / texture / form – a jewelry invitational: Jennifer Graves comes to us straight outta Woodinville with her Lolli Jo Lolli sterling silver and resin jewelry, so colorful and fun it makes us smile to include it in this year's invitational!

Jennifer shared some thoughts with on her jewelry, and on making (and breaking) her own rules:

1. How would you describe what you make?

I make colorful jewelry using sterling silver and hand colored resin.

2. Can you tell us about your favorite piece in your current collection?

My favorite piece in my current collection is probably my Bauhaus Earrings I love the simple shape of them, but what really makes them special in my opinion is that they are made with leftover bits of resin.  The technique I use creates this wonderful random patterns bursting with color.

3. What’s the best piece of advice you’ve been given?

At the moment I can’t think of advice I’ve been given but advice I might give to someone in the creative world is that there are no hard and fast rules, make your own and break your own.

4. What inspired you to make jewelry?

I came to make jewelry by being a creative person and wanting to try everything and jewelry being the thing that really clicked for me. I love creating something that’s personal to me that in turn becomes something of a personal expression for someone else.

5. If you could collaborate with anyone living or not, who would it be and why?

If I could collaborate with anyone I think it might be with a strong powerful woman who’s out there trying to change the world for the better.  Maybe the jewelry gives them a little extra boost of confidence.
