How to: Host A Top Tier Summer Party

How to: Host A Top Tier Summer Party

We’ve been dreaming of backyard barbecues, classy garden parties, and beachside soirees all year long. Now that summer has arrived, we’re done dreaming and ready to get doing! It’s been a little bit since we’ve hosted a get together so we pulled together a list to remind ourselves how this summer entertaining thing works. As always, we’re keeping it sweet and simple (just how we like it 😊). Ambiance is key, so the first thing to consider is décor. Your fête will feel extra welcoming with these little bud vases filled with foraged blooms and spread throughout. Add some color...

July Featured Artist: Rachel Austin

Rachel Austin, a long-time Click! favorite, is back as our featured artist for July! The show will feature new works in her signature style: vintage maps layered with boldly colored florals and bird silhouettes. These charming, hand-painted scenes mounted on wood block panels will be available in-store and online starting Thursday 7.8 for Art Walk, along with an expanded collection of prints and cards that express a love of the PNW. June Featured Artist: Ryan McAbery

June Featured Artist: Ryan McAbery

Ryan McAbery‘s meticulous and distinctive process combines her original photography, love of topography and crisp clean line work.   Her multi-dimensional pieces begin with an original illustration, hand drawn over a topographic map which is then printed onto clear acrylic. Each image is backed with a color photograph, creating depth and literal layers for light-catching and light-weight additions to any art collection. We carry a selection of Ryan’s art year-round and continue to be awed by the work she creates which both reminds us of home and inspires us to explore. Ryan’s latest collection debuts on June 10, 2021 during West Seattle Art Walk. The show runs through July...

The *Best* Summer Kickoff Plans

The *Best* Summer Kickoff Plans

Summer is sooo close (officially beginning June 20th! / unofficially July 5th in Seattle) and we’re kicking off the season by opening our windows to welcome the breeze, soaking up that sweet sweet Vitamin D and plotting our future berry-picking adventures. The weather is warming and we’re determined to spend the gorgeous, sunshine filled days reconnecting with friends and family, checking off those early summer to-do's. As we dust off the patio tables and bring out the lawn chairs, one of the first activities on our list involves three of our favorite things: cocktails, cheese and (vaccinated!) friends. Hosting an...

May Featured Artist: Chelsea Garrow

May Featured Artist: Chelsea Garrow

We’ve been spending a lot of time outside lately. Tending our gardens, getting out on hikes, and strolling through the neighborhood (so. many. walks!) has helped us cultivate a fresh appreciation for the natural world. This is exactly why Chelsea Garrow’s work resonated with us. Her love of nature is captured in pressed plant and flower pieces that she calls Modern Herbarium. Chelsea’s collection of preserved botanicals features a variety of familiar flora like dogwood, Queen Anne’s lace, licorice ferns, foxgloves and hops. These timeless, organic pieces are available both in-store and partially online, and the full collection debuts for...
