art walk creatives event original art West seattle
Nearly every visitor to Click! notices the wire bird sculptures on the walls and is struck by their "3-D line drawing" quality. Shelli Markee is the artist who draws them, and she is our Featured Artist for April! Her newest works shifts from fauna to flora. She'll be at Click for West Seattle Art Walk this Thursday April 13, 6–9pm. How would you describe what you make? I draw with wire. Can you tell us about your favorite piece in the current collection? I really like the large poppies. Large and open with a little detail that I enjoy. If...
Featured Artist: Amy Douglas
Our featured artist for February and March is Amy Douglas. The iconic local imagery she uses for her subjects is what draws you in, but the depth of her detailed approach to process is what really makes her work special. Each of her hand pulled screen prints is painstakingly created in limited editions. We caught up with Amy to take a peak inside her world: How would you describe what you make? All of my prints are created by hand using water-based inks on fine art stock. Each color is printed separately; sometimes layered atop another color to create different shades...

Doctors had told us that the timeline for progression of Frances’s Young Onset Alzheimer's Disease was uncertain, but what was certain was that the next year would be the best we could expect; that...

Madi May Pop Up
One of our favorite new local lines is Madi May Design, a collection of hand made waxed canvas totes, pouches, and dopp kits. This Thursday December 1 we'll host Madi Herbert of Madi May for a pop-up and meet-the-maker from 5 to 8pm. She'll have an expanded selection of her goods with her so come early to see it all! We sat down with Madi for a brief chat to ask her about what she does: How would you describe what you make? My husband and I make waxed canvas goods. I love waxed canvas for its durability. We use...
