June Art Walk – Dawn Endean

Meet our June artist Dawn Endean!  Dawn is a local Seattle artist who will be displaying an elegant collection of her monotypes & mixed media prints for the months of June & July.

Dawn’s work is informed by her studies in archaeology and biology. She explores patterns that occur repeatedly in nature at both micro and macro levels — her interest lies in the structural components of bones and branches, cells and seeds.  Dawn began taking classes at Pratt Fine Art Center, and has become an integral part of Seattle’s print community.

Join us on the West Seattle Art Walk this Thursday from 6-9 to meet the artist, and enjoy Click!’s late night ambiance including beverages by Dry Soda, nibbles, and of course many new Click! items.  Dawn’s work will be on display from June 9th — July 31st.  Come visit!

Gleena ceramics

rustic bowl $34

We’re in love with the porcelain ceramics of Gleena (which means clay in Russian).  The woman behind Gleena is Asya Palatova, a Russian native who grew up spending lengthy summers at her family dacha, a Russian country house.  Surrounded by her grandmother’s carefully tended gardens and apple trees, the dacha proved to be an source of endless inspiration for Asya’s simple, organic shapes.

large organic bowl $56

Asya’s porcelain tableware is all handmade in her Rhode Island studio.  We love her delicious, sherbet-y colors and sweet, simple decals.  Her images range from flowers and romantic lettering to tiny forks and spoons.

April Art Walk artist: Junko Yamamoto

We’re so excited to introduce Junko Yamamoto for April’s artwalk.  Junko is a Tokyo-born, Seattle-based artist who creates light, lovely oil paintings exploring the “voids and fullness of pictorial spaces.”  She describes her paintings as being based on “shunyata”, meaning emptiness in Sanskrit.

West Seattle’s Art Walk is this Thursday night, from 6-9.  Come out and enjoy the lingering twilight, snacks and refreshments, and a fantastic collection of local art.

Puppets by Cate + Levi

Puppets!  “Cate + Levi” started when Josh Title, the founder, became a father and wanted to provide environmentally friendly toys for his son.  Not finding what he wanted in stores, he decided to make his own.   The end result of this father’s quest for sustainable toys are these awesome puppets, hand-stitched in Toronto, Canada, from reclaimed sweaters.

Each puppet is uniquely one-of-a-kind, since they are all handmade from found materials.   Click here for a video of how they’re made!

The puppets come in a range of animals – from dogs & cats to walruses & slugs – and each one is $30.

We also have the perfect card from Seltzer that dovetails nicely with our new puppets!  If you’ve ever been confused on the rules of peek-a-boo, here are the details:

Seltzer cards $3.50

We’re also hoping to persuade the lovely Dawn Benedetto, the woman behind Poppi, back to the West Coast for a springtime trunk show in May — just in time for Mother’s Day.  Cross your Poppi-bejeweled fingers and stay tuned!

Here in Seattle we have the phenonemon of the “sunbreak;” a brief moment in time where the sun shows its warm, glowy face before hiding behind the clouds again.

During today’s afternoon sunbreak, the light hit our new Verre glass jewels and the entire display of jewelry was basked in sunshine and happily glittering in the light.  Here’s our favorite detail shot of the event.

We’re hosting a trunk show for our very own Sarah Loertscher!  This Saturday, February 12th from 11-5 we’ll have sparkling beverages, cookies, and (most importantly) jewelry for you to enjoy.  Sarah will be bringing a great collection of her geometric adornments, including new designs and a collection of 24k gold vermeil jewels.
