We’re looking forward to the first week in September! Our very own Sarah Loertscher is taking over the store, filling it with her drawings, prints, new installation work, and very new jewels from her latest collection, the F-series.

Fe is the symbol for iron, the element at the heart of her steel collection. Sarah’s clean, angular forms are cut and folded from mild steel to create light, faceted structures. Some of these edgy steel jewels have the addition of 18k gold to starkly contrast with the steel; others are studded with punchy colors of glass beads: aqua, orange, and magenta.
The details:
Thursday, September 1st 6-9pm — opening reception
Saturday, September 3rd 11-5 — trunk show
Mark your calendar — it should be a rockin’ show!

This week’s Shop Late Thursday in the Junction is not to be missed! We’ll be joined by Kim O’Donnel, the author of The Meat Lover’s Meatless Cookbook, who has a delicious knack for making veggie recipes that are hearty, substantial, and savory — you won’t even miss the meat. She’ll be signing books and sharing samples of her summery recipes taken straight from the pages of the Meatless. How do Sun Gold tomatoes stuffed with garlic scape pesto sound? What about romesco sauce with roasted green beans & baguettes? Hungry yet?

Stop in from 6 to 9pm to get your book autographed, have a little taste, and find out what she’s up to with “Canning Across America” and its participation in “Can It Forward” at the Pike Place Market August 13/14 — both of which are grassroots initiatives to encourage home gardening and canning. Join the canvolution!

Meet our June artist Dawn Endean! Dawn is a local Seattle artist who will be displaying an elegant collection of her monotypes & mixed media prints for the months of June & July.

Dawn’s work is informed by her studies in archaeology and biology. She explores patterns that occur repeatedly in nature at both micro and macro levels — her interest lies in the structural components of bones and branches, cells and seeds. Dawn began taking classes at Pratt Fine Art Center, and has become an integral part of Seattle’s print community.
Join us on the West Seattle Art Walk this Thursday from 6-9 to meet the artist, and enjoy Click!’s late night ambiance including beverages by Dry Soda, nibbles, and of course many new Click! items. Dawn’s work will be on display from June 9th — July 31st. Come visit!

rustic bowl $34
We’re in love with the porcelain ceramics of Gleena (which means clay in Russian). The woman behind Gleena is Asya Palatova, a Russian native who grew up spending lengthy summers at her family dacha, a Russian country house. Surrounded by her grandmother’s carefully tended gardens and apple trees, the dacha proved to be an source of endless inspiration for Asya’s simple, organic shapes.
large organic bowl $56
Asya’s porcelain tableware is all handmade in her Rhode Island studio. We love her delicious, sherbet-y colors and sweet, simple decals. Her images range from flowers and romantic lettering to tiny forks and spoons.
