Funny how we’ve always heard people pronounce Orla Kiely “Orla Kiley” and assumed that is what her name is. It seems though that the proper British pronunciation is more like “Keely” so there you go. Whatever you call them, they are amazing bags, perfect for our Seattle weather — remarkable similar to England — maybe that’s why we love them so. Or it could be that they look great and work well. Get them quick — we’ve sold five in the last three days.
Kiely is an Irish name, so there’s no ‘British’ pronounciation. It’s pronounced ‘Kiley’, although lots of people get it wrong.
My maiden name was Kiely and most definitely Kiley! Very annoying when people say keely!
